Telefónica I+D

Telefónica I+D has incorporated Open Source Software (OSS) technologies in several of the mission-critical business and operation support systems as well as in most of the relevant telecom services developed for Telefónica. Going one step beyond usage of OSS technologies in developments, Telefónica I+D has decided to contribute to the development of the OSS phenomena by means of the creation of an OSS community called MORFEO, which plays a crucial role in the QualiPSo Competence Centre Initiative.

GSyC/LibreSoft research group at URJC

The LibreSoft research group (a part of the GSyC, Sistems and Comunications Group) in the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) has a long interest in libre (free, open source) software, and a strong relationship with the libre software community. During its long activity, the group has become one of the world leaders in data gathering from public open source software repositories and cualitative studies about the situation of open source software in the real world. LibreSoft is a reference group in the Spanish and European open source software research scenarios, participating in several public funded research initiatives.

CETTICO research group at UPM

The Information and Communication Technologies Group (ICTG, cetTICo) has been based at the UPM’s School of Computing since 1988 and carries out research on multidisciplinary areas of Information and Communication Technologies, including software and knowledge engineering, computer networks, security, intelligent systems, knowledge-based systems, Web accessibility, and e-learning. The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is the largest technologic university in Spain with about 40.000 students, 3.300 teachers and researchers and 2.000 administrative employees. The UPM is one of the leaders in technological development in Spain and plays a crucial role in academic and research activities in Spain and Europe.
