Morfeo Competence Centre Services Proposal

Competence Centres deliver Qualipso Services directly to companies, public administrations and individuals. Qualipso Competence Centres only deliver Qualipso Services listed below Qualipso Services. This list may only be modified by the Qualipso Network Board.
All Competence Centres must deliver a minimal common set of services. This minimal set of services is composed of mandatory Qualipso Services and optional Qualipso Services.
Mandatory Qualipso Services are Qualipso Factory Services, Qualipso Consultancy Services and Qualipso Labelling Services. Every Competence Centre must offer at least two Mandatory Qualipso Services out of this list of three. These three services are composed as follow:

Qualipso Factory Services
- Qualipso Factory on site installation and configuration according to client needs so that they can use the platform to develop their own projects.
- On-line hosting of OSS projects in a Qualipso Factory managed by the Competence Centre. Ensuring the availability of the Qualipso Factory with guaranty of support, security, availability and backup.
- Support and maintenance of Qualipso Factory instances hosted in the customer’s infrastructure.
- Consultancy and training on Qualipso Factory installation and administration.
- Development of new functionalities or integration of third party software in the Qualipso Factory.
Qualipso Consultancy Services
- Legal consultancy on best practices for intellectual property rights compliant with open source development and usage.
- Consultancy on OSS based business models.
- Consultancy on best practices for OSS development process as well as documentation and information management.
- Consultancy on the trustworthiness of OSS based project implementations.
- Consultancy on project implementations based on OSS.
Qualipso Labelling Services
- Qualipso Label indicates that OSS, OSS Development Process or OS Resource have passed through Qualipso Quality Process to qualify their level of quality.
- Labels could be granted to processes (Capability Label), software (OSS and Stack Labels) or people (Developers, Administrators and End User Labels)
- Labelling development processes is an iterative process that comprises training, consultancy, auditory, granting and periodic monitoring.
- Labelling software is a process that comprises testing and granting.
- Labelling people is a process that comprises a training session, examination/evaluation and granting.

Optional Qualipso Services are QualiPSo Educational and Training Services, Qualipso Legal Services, Qualipso Interoperability Services, Qualipso Collaborative Services, Qualipso Benchmark Services. The optional services could be implemented by Morfeo Competence Centre:

QualiPSo Educational and Training Services
- QualiPSo Educational and Training Services delivering OSS-related courses both in classroom and via the Internet using e-learning tools.
- Courses will target both the research and business domains and will range from theoretical classroom courses and practical development laboratory courses to e-learning online courses.
Qualipso Legal Services
- IP compliance code analysis.
Qualipso Interoperability Services
- Testing of OSS against requirements or specification.
- Interoperability testing between OSS components or between open source and closed source components.
Qualipso Collaborative Services
- Consultancy and organisational audit for collaborative work environment, remote teams management.
- Training on best practices for OSS development process and information management.
